LinkedIn tops estimates

LinkedIn Corp. (NYSE: LNKD) fell to a loss for the second quarter of a penny per share compared with earnings of 3 cents per share in the year ago period but the results surpassed analyst expectations as revenue surged and the company forecast current quarter results ahead of estimates. Shares of the professional networking site leaped $21.14 to close at $201.78.
