RockTenn, a leading integrated North American manufacturer of corrugated and consumer packaging and recycling solutions, will continue to leverage Transplace’s award-winning Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize and manage the company’s transportation operations for its Consumer Packaging Business units.
Since 2007, RockTenn has used Transplace’s services to help streamline its supply chain through process improvement in transportation planning, execution and management. “Through our collaborative relationship, RockTenn has been able to establish a centralized transportation management approach and Lean Six Sigma-based processes to improve supply chain visibility and efficiency in our Consumer Packaging Business Units,” said Greg King, senior vice president of procurement, safety and health for RockTenn. “We look to Transplace to provide industry expertise, comprehensive logistics technology and support for continuous improvement.”
