On April 27, 2006, Ames National Corporation (“Company”) issued a News Release announcing the appointment of Thomas H. Pohlman, age 55, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company effective July 1, 2006. Mr. Pohlman has served as President of the Company’s subsidiary bank, First National Bank, Ames, Iowa since 1999. A copy of the New Release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
