Federal Signal Corporation (the “Company”) is furnishing the text of presentation materials,
included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report, pursuant to Regulation FD promulgated by the Securities
and Exchange Commission. Beginning on August 27, 2008 the Company will be conducting a series of
scheduled meetings with investors. James E. Goodwin, Interim President and Chief Executive
Officer, Stephanie K. Kushner, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and other Company
executives will be reviewing the recent operational and financial performance of the Company, its
long term financial targets and broader growth strategies.
