DEPARTURE OF DIRECTORS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS; ELECTION OF DIRECTORS; APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS; COMPENSATORY ARRANGEMENTS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS.

 

(b) On August 19, 2008, Mr. Myron Kunin informed Regis Corporation’s (the “Company”) Board of Directors (the “Board”) of his decision to retire from the Board for personal reasons at the end of his current term in October 2008. At the same time, Mr. Kunin will also retire from his position as an officer of the Company. Mr. Kunin has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2004. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company from 1983 to 2004, as Chief Executive Officer of the Company from 1965 until July 1, 1996, as President of the Company from 1965 to 1987 and as a director of the Company since its foundation in 1954. In accepting Mr. Kunin’s decision to retire, the Board thanked Mr. Kunin for his exceptional leadership and his enormous contributions spanning the course of six decades.
