In an effort to assist the medical community that has been hit amongst the hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic, Richmond-based Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van conversion experts Absolute Styling has been converting vehicles to serve as new emergency mobile medical solutions. Since pivoting their business in June, the team has helped a wide range of businesses and organizations by making more readily available the products they need through their medical vehicle conversions.

Initially starting with a single Mercedes Sprinter van that has been converted into a mobile health research lab on behalf of BC Children’s Hospital Research Unit and the UBC Diabetes research, Absolute Styling is offering their vehicle conversion services more broadly to any organizations in the medical community. As such, they are ready to help convert vehicles to ensure they fit the needs of medical professionals for research, mobile testing, and transportation of vital medical goods.

As with the conversion done for BC Children’s Hospital, Absolute Styling work with their clients to learn their specific needs and to create bespoke designs from the ground up to suit those needs. This process helped them build a self-contained testing and research platform that has since gone on to be used by the Research Unit.

Aside from taking the opportunity to help their local medical communities, the team at Absolute Styling has used this chance to pivot their business into a brand new field, keeping more jobs within the team open by ensuring there is work to do even as the travel and hospitality transport industry seeing some of the biggest challenges as a result of COVID-19.

“Nothing brings out the best in people like challenges,” said Lorenzo Armani of Absolute Styling, “and COVID-19 is challenging all of us to adjust to the new reality that we face. Our team jumped at the opportunity to task on this project and apply their expertise to help create a new tool for British Columbia’s health care workers.”

Absolute Styling, a Mercedes Benz Certified Master Upfitter and recognized Transport Canada National Safety Mark builder, is equipped and ready to take on more medical vehicle conversions, making sure that mobile solutions are ready to meet the growing needs of the medical community.
