African Poet Palace TV Show Present Freestyle Talents All Over The World
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Feb 25, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Producers KatKiz and Tina Green, who created and produced the Ghana Meet USA Virtual Benefit concert released on social media October 30th, 2021, and on Bronxnet November 14th, 15th, and 16th, are developing a freestyle TV show titled "African Poet Palace".
"African Poet Palace" includes lyricists, poets, and rappers telling stories over KatKiz-produced beats. The TV show is about a King facing a dilemma. Who should he leave his kingdom to once he transitions: his philandering son who is also his birthright, or to his educated daughter who understands the country's issues and wants to serve her country. Because of the pre-existing laws, no woman can be leader. "This is a story about women discrimination, a story that is relatable to women, people from all over," Green stated. Performers are dressed in traditional African attire and tell their stories in a palace-like setting. The cast is currently in pre-production and include performers from Ghana and the USA.
"There is no other show like this to date," Green commented. "After 'Ghana Meets USA Virtual Benefit Concert', we realized that we needed to take this up a notch," Green stated with excitement. "Sure, we have shows in America that include cyphers, rap battles, and lyrical content, but our show will include indie artists from all over the World showcasing their lyrical skills. Further, we are providing content that will bring people together! We are very passionate about this project as musical performances in the form of freestyle from different cultures are somewhat lacking on American TV. That empty space needs to be filled and we are up for the challenge!"
Their company, TGreen Films, has set up a Kickstarter, Indiegogo and Patreon for the TV show. Contributions will be used to pay talent in front and behind the camera to make 'African Poet Palace' a success. "Our goal is to have 'African Poet Palace' placed on a TV streaming channel," Green said. Many incentives come with contributing to this project, from being placed in the credits as an investor, listed as a producer in the credits and IMbD, or receiving a return on your investment as an angel investor. Contributions range from $1 to $1000 or more.
