Item 8.01.
Other Events.

On March 28, 2013, Houston American Energy Corp. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the termination of the Company’s interest, and participation, in the CPO 4 concession in Colombia and the release of the Company from any and all obligations under the joint operating agreement relating to the CPO 4 concession. The press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
