On September 21, 2005, the Board of Directors of Broadway Financial Corporation (the “Company”) appointed Sam Sarpong, age 45, to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of both Company and Broadway Federal Bank (the “Bank”), effective September 21, 2005. Prior to joining the Bank as Chief Internal Auditor in February 2004, Mr. Sarpong spent 5 years at Citibank as Audit Manager and 6 years at Hawthorne Savings as Chief Internal Auditor. Currently, there is no employment contract between Mr. Sarpong and either Broadway Financial Corporation or Broadway Federal Bank.
