Alliant Insurance Services Celebrates National Construction Appreciation Week

Alliant highlights leading construction companies that are developing transformative infrastructure and shaping communities across America

During National Construction Appreciation Week, September 16-20, 2024, Alliant Insurance Services is honoring the more than 11 million men and women who work in the construction industry and play a vital role in shaping communities across America.

Alliant is proud to work with the country’s leading construction companies and celebrates its construction clients by highlighting projects that are shaping communities, enhancing infrastructure and inspiring sustainable growth for generations to come. Read about the impacts of these transformative projects:

  • Electra USA - As part of the Port Authority’s $19 billion transformation of JFK International into a world-class airport, Electra USA, one of the largest electromechanical contractors in the New York area, installed the terminal’s underground piping, lighting system, electrical control system, and public safety and life safety dash radio system.
  • Holt Construction – Partnering with LaGuardia Gateway Partners LLC as construction manager, Holt Construction completed work for the new Business and Conference Center at LGA airport.
  • Posillico Inc. – As a premier heavy civil construction contractor, Posillico is providing a reliable coastal flood control system for risk reduction to property, residents and assets within the vicinity of South Battery Park City.
  • Stone Bridge Homes - A premier homebuilder on the West Coast, Stone Bridge Homes delivered Aspen Park, a crucial project addressing the growing demand for affordable and adequate housing to meet the immediate needs of families and support the community's future growth and well-being.
  • Suffolk - Suffolk manages some of the most complex, sophisticated projects in the country, including The Brook, a mixed-use tower planned to span 600 ft into the Brooklyn skyline while occupying a distinctive corner lot on Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue. The tower’s infrastructure will include 263 piles, the largest vertical heat pump in New York City, and will uniquely house an electrical transformer, property of ConEd.
  • Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. – Griffin Electric installed all electrical and telecommunications work at the new Doherty Memorial High School, including power, lighting and lighting controls, a generator system, and a complete solar photovoltaic system.

“We are proud to showcase the groundbreaking work of our clients, which represents some of the country’s leading builders, contractors and construction companies,” said Matt Walsh, Managing Director, Alliant Construction. “It’s also important that we draw attention to the landmark work being done in our field to attract young professionals to the possibilities within construction and to facilitate the future of the industry.”
