ITEM 5.02   Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers
Duke R. Ligon has been appointed to Panhandle Oil and Gas Inc.’s Board of Directors on August 8, 2007. Mr. Ligon will fill a newly created position on the board and will stand for election at the next annual shareholders meeting.
