Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 2, 2005, United Bancshares, Inc. issued a release announcing that the Companys Board of Directors has designated Brian D. Young, the Companys Chief Financial Officer, to additionally serve as the Companys Executive Vice President. The Board of Directors also promoted Mr. Young from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President at The Union Bank Company, the Companys wholly owned subsidiary. A copy of the release (Exhibit 99.1) is attached.

(Nasdaq: UBOH news), a bank holding company headquartered in Columbus Grove, Ohio with consolidated assets of $541 million, today announced that the Companys Board of Directors has designated Brian D. Young, the Companys Chief Financial Officer, to additionally serve as the Companys Executive Vice President.
