By: 3BL Media

SOURCE: Moody's Corporation

DESCRIPTION:

Moody’s was recently named for the first time to The Civic 50, a prestigious annual honor roll that recognizes the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States. The distinguished award is a recognition of Moody’s comprehensive approach to contributing to a more inclusive society and world, achieved through the profound generosity of its employees and their commitment to empowering others with the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to create a better future. Even through the unprecedented personal and professional challenges of the past 18 months, their commitment to those in need has been unwavering.

ABOUT THE CIVIC 50

The Civic 50 is the annual recognition initiative of Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.. The honorees are companies with annual revenues of at least US$1 billion, and are selected based on their corporate citizenship and social impact programs.

While hundreds of companies are considered for The Civic 50 each year, only 50 are selected to the final list based on their investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies, and impact measurement. Moody’s inclusion on the list for 2021 illustrates its commitment to civic engagement and helps create a roadmap for other companies seeking to best use their time, talent, and resources, to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.

Points of Light’s mission to inspire people to take action that changes the world matches Moody’s approach to corporate social responsibility – to empower people with the knowledge, resources and confidence they need to create a better future for themselves, their communities, and their environment.

“Points of Light believes that corporate leadership and commitment to civic engagement is critical to strengthening communities,” said Natalye Paquin, President and CEO, Points of Light. We thank Moody’s for their investment in the communities where they live and work, and look forward to supporting them in leveraging their time, talent, and assets to make transformational change.”

“Engaging with the communities where we do business is an integral part of Moody’s corporate strategy,” said Arlene Isaacs-Lowe, Global Head of CSR, Moody’s Corporation & President, Moody’s Foundation. “As the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to pursue partnerships and service opportunities that help build more inclusive, equitable economies and stronger communities in the U.S. and abroad.”
