SecureAuth Appoints Industry Veteran Tom Smith as Chief Revenue Officer to Accelerate Growth

SecureAuth, a leader in next-generation identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and a K1 Investment Management portfolio company, today announced the appointment of Tom Smith as Chief Revenue Officer. With more than 20 years of proven experience across SaaS, cybersecurity, and financial services sectors, Tom will play a pivotal role in fueling SecureAuth’s ambitious growth strategy and expanding its go-to-market initiatives globally.

Tom’s extensive background includes spearheading revenue growth at Fortune 100 companies, VC-funded startups, and private equity-backed organizations. His deep expertise in building and leading high-performance teams, go-to-market structure and acceleration, and launching new products across international markets will strengthen and solidify SecureAuth’s market and category leadership, and fuel the company’s next stage of growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the SecureAuth leadership team,” said Joseph Dhanapal, CEO of SecureAuth. “His track record in scaling businesses, forging key strategic alliances, and executing go-to-market strategies makes him the ideal leader to help us accelerate growth. With Tom on board, we’re confident that SecureAuth will continue to set new benchmarks in identity security and customer-centric solutions.”

Most recently, Tom served as Chief Revenue Officer at Blueteam AI, where he developed the go-to-market framework for a GenAI Security Gateway SaaS solution. His prior roles at leading cybersecurity companies like Optiv, IriusRisk and Swimlane saw him drive substantial revenue increases and build teams that excelled in sales, marketing, and business development. Tom’s ability to open new markets and his expertise in closing large, complex deals with mid-market and Fortune 500 companies will be instrumental as SecureAuth continues to expand globally.

“I am excited to join SecureAuth at this transformative moment in the industry,” said Tom Smith, CRO at SecureAuth. “With the increasing demand for cutting-edge identity and access management solutions, SecureAuth is well-positioned to lead the market. I look forward to working with the team to execute a world-class go-to-market strategy, drive growth, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

Tom’s appointment comes at a time of significant momentum for SecureAuth, following its recent product innovations and growth through acquisition. His leadership will enhance the company’s ability to serve the growing needs of organizations across sectors as they face the challenges of safeguarding digital identities in an evolving threat landscape.
