Houston's Iapetus Holdings Ranks Grow with New Controller Mike Marx

HOUSTON - Sept. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- Mike Marx joins Iapetus Holdings LLC and its operating companies as Controller, effective September 20, 2021. Marx has approximately twenty years of experience in accounting and finance and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Regarding his motivation to join the company, Marx stated: "Iapetus Holdings has a demonstrated history of innovation, growth, and leadership. I'm looking forward to working with this dynamic group and being a part of its continued success."

After receiving his MBA, Marx spent three years in public accounting with UHY LLP where he worked on a variety of projects including preparing the lead plaintiff for the Enron securities litigation. Following UHY, he worked for twelve years at ConocoPhillips in several roles including managing accounting and finance teams in the Commercial Power Generation and Corporate Treasury Groups. More recently, Marx managed all aspects of the accounting, finance, and treasury functions for Matlack Transportation, a large equipment provider to the chemical, oil field services, and waste management industries.

Marx has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University. Marx is a member of the Rice Alumni Association, Houston Society of Financial Analysts (HSFA), and serves as a volunteer little league coach.
