FTC suit threatens Aerojet $4.4 billion sale to Lockheed Martin

The Federal Trade Commission has sued to block Lockheed Martin Corp.’s $4.4 billion proposed acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings Inc, the last independent domestic supplier of advanced missile propulsion systems, on the grounds that the proposed merger could harm rival defense firms that are critical to national security.
