FirstEnergy Corp. ("FirstEnergy") is disclosing under Item 7.01 of this Current Report on Form 8-K the Financial Statements of FirstEnergy's subsidiary, Metropolitan Edison Company ("ME"), for the years ended December 31, 2012 and 2011, (the "ME Financial Statements"). The ME Financial Statements are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and are incorporated by reference herein.
