SEPTEMBER 14, 2022 – Ironmatik, LLC, the certified women-owned small American business, behind the award-winning Space Saver ironing board has done it again. The Jaipur Collection from ironMATIK is an innovative Ironing Mat & Steam Glove Bundle available in five pastel colors inspired by the founder’s travels to Jaipur, India.
ironMATIK’s ironing mat is the only 7-layer ironing mat in the market. It employs a patented technology that combines the usual foam and felt padding with the innovative bubble-wrap and aluminum foil layers – designed to ensure the iron glides on the mat with ease while reflecting the steam back up. With the ironMATIK mat, users can iron both sides of the material without having to turn the other side, cutting down ironing time in half. And perhaps most importantly, users protect their precious furniture from heat damage as the mat can be used on any flat surface, including a wooden dining room table or a marble kitchen counter. The mat replaces a heavy ironing board and is easy to store and travel with. It can also be hung behind a door and be used as a steam pad.
Each mat comes with the only 9-layer steam glove available in the market. Like the mat, the patent-pending steam glove combines the usual foam and felt padding with the innovative bubble-wrap and aluminum foil layers – protecting the user’s hand from the heat of an iron or a steamer.
The Atlanta-based company is working with local female pattern illustrators to highlight female talent. Janine Lecour, an Atlanta-based designer, is the name behind the Jaipur Toile design adorning the ironing mats and steam gloves from the Jaipur Collection. “Janine is a brilliant designer, and we are so proud to partner with her,” said the company founder.
Ironmatik, LLC’s leadership is strategically manufacturing its products in Europe. “Offering premium products made in factories that respect labor rights and intellectual property rights was key in our decision-making” says the founder. “We are all about innovation and customer satisfaction, and as users of our own products, we want to make sure we are differentiators in this historically male-dominated industry,” she says.
