Theodora Uniken Venema is the Principal & Broker for Downtown Brokers LLC. She was just recently named Top Philanthropist of the Year 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors that she has dedicated to charities all over the world. This year 2024 she was again selected to be secretary of her local Rotary Club, The Rotary Club of Orlando.

In 2023 Theodora was honored as Top Global Impact Broker of the Year. She earned a seat in the National Association of Realtors President’s Circle Platinum Hall of Fame. Theodora serves as ambassador for the Orlando Museum of Art , and is active on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. Theodora serves in the Drosselmeyer Society to support the Orlando Ballet, and is a Major Donor for the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center and Opera Orlando. Theodora is a Legacy Member of the Arch Klumph Society for Rotary International. Theodora has been the Central Florida Commercial Association Realtor of the Year, earned her Law Degree in the Netherlands, before continuing her post graduate studies at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, as well as Emory College of Law. Theodora has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding commitment to the real estate profession and has successfully brought major real estate investment to Central Florida for the past 40 years. She is also passionate for saving the Seals, Giraffes and her latest “Peppi” a Koala in Australia, and this past December donated thousands of toys to the Salvation Army.
Theodora is not only a globally renowned philanthropist, but she is also a top-tier licensed real estate broker and the Founder of Downtown Brokers, where she caters to worldwide investors investing in the “American Dream.” When it comes to investing in Florida Real Estate, Theodora has proved success not just as a Broker but also as a Legal Expert. Negotiation, coaching, sales, real estate, asset management, international business, trade, and tax law are among her Florida Dream Team’s area of experience.
Theodora also sits on a number of boards and committees and is a popular lecturer and public speaker. She is involved in her community and has contributed to several publications and articles. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster, Past Vice President of Administration for the Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors, Chairman of the Market Diversity Committee, Director of the Orlando Regional Realtor Board, and Director of the Dutch American Business Club of Central Florida, to name a few.
Before beginning her professional career, performed in ballet and dance from an early age and took up fashion design.
In 2019 she appeared on the Donna Drake Show "Live it up" for CBS New York, has a regular appearance on "Way of Living" on the Netherlands TV, and is the host on IHeart Radio, her program "Only in America."
Throughout her illustrious career, Theodora has received multiple awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. In 2023 she was honored for her distinction as Top Global Real Estate Broker of the Year and was featured on NYC’S Nasdaq Billboard. She was also selected and was featured in IAOTP’S Top 25 Global Impact Leaders Publication. In 2022 she was honored as Broker of the Decade by the International Association of Top Professionals, was featured on the famous Planet Hollywood Billboard on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, had a chapter dedicated to her in IAOTP’s International Best Seller Top 50 Fearless Leaders and was inducted into IAOTP’s Hall of Fame, in 2021, she was selected as IAOTP'S Woman of the Year. In 2020 she received the honors of the Empowered Woman Award, The Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Realtor of the Year by IAOTP. She was inducted into Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors Hall of Fame in 2020. In 2019 she was selected as Top Broker of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) and was honored at the Annual Awards Gala at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas for this distinction. Theodora was also featured on the famous Reuters and Nasdaq billboard in Times Square for her distinction with IAOTP. In 2018, she was named Top Broker Second Home International Utrecht, the Netherlands. Then in 2017, she was selected as Florida Realtor Featured Global Realtor. In 2015, she was the recipient of the Good Neighbor Award. In 2014, Theodora received the National Association of Realtors Commercial Award, and in 2013 listed in Leadership Florida Realtors and received the Pillar of the Community by the Orlando Regional Realtors Association. In 2010, Mrs. Uniken Venema was listed in Leadership Orlando Realtors and named Top Real Estate Broker in Hamburg, Germany. In 2012 Theodora was named Realtor of the Year by the Central Florida Association of Realtors. In 2011 she received the Circle of Achievement Award, International Realtor of the Year by the Orlando Regional Realtors Association, and Community Service Award by CFCAR Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors, just to name a few.
