This newly launched white paper by Cadre Technologies examines the implementation of their solution, 3PL (3rd Party Logistics), with Bob’s Transport and Storage (BTS), a Baltimore-based transportation company. They serve the world’s largest sugar manufacturer and recently moved into a warehouse spanning 400,000 square feet, double the capacity of their original facility.

To facilitate that expansion, BTS implemented the Cadence Warehouse Management Software suite from Cadre Technologies, a move that is described in detail in the white paper. The use-case describes in detail the importance of finding a scalable solution that doesn’t take extra time when dealing with products like sugar whose freshness and quality are important.

Cadre Technologies, founded in 2001 and recently announced as a member of the Inbound Logistics Top 100 of 2020, authored this paper to explain the importance of technology-equipped warehouses for food & beverage manufacturers in particular. By adding features to track and trace product shipments, they can facilitate the meeting of standards established by the Global Safety Initiative.

The white paper, entitled “Increase Warehouse Accuracy and Efficiency with Cadence,” lists specific ways the company can integrate with Cadre Technologies’ offerings, including with the company’s existing MySQL database. This allows the generation of custom reports, which can be sent to clients to inform them of the delivery schedules, a much-discussed feature in the food & beverage industry.

According to the recently published white paper, there were two key objectives with the company’s integration. The first was to reduce human error and increase efficiency of its track-and-trace operations. The second was to overall increase warehouse accuracy.

John Nichols, manager of compliance training and food safety, said Cadre Technologies prioritizes the relationships with their customers. “When you see these guys traveling all over the country servicing their customers, they’re not just putting out fires. They’re helping customers. And that’s what any software program is supposed to do — Helping the customer do their job better and with more efficiency. “
