Low salaries, high stress: Hillsborough County schools lost 1,800 teachers in the last year

Beyond the typical retirement or out-of-state moves, many local teachers are now fleeing Hillsborough County due to low salaries — which leaders say can't be fixed without passage of a sales tax.
