Against the backdrop of the Asian Games, to actively promote the sharing and exchange of experiences in the field of esports between China and Japan and jointly explore new development paths for esports under the influence of the Asian Games, from September 24th to 27th, Tencent, together with Chinese esports ecological partners, visited Japan. As an important member of the Japan eSports Union (JeSU), during the Tokyo Game Show, Tencent E-sports was warmly invited by JeSU to participate in its esports conference and co-hosted the "Sino-Japanese Esports Ecological Exchange Sub-forum".

The Japanese representatives at the sub-forum included Yamaji Yasuyuki, director of JeSU, Matsumoto Junichi, international affairs director, Katagiri Shota, president of the JeSU Aichi Prefecture Esports Association, Satoshi Matsumoto and Iwata Koichi, supervisors, Koyama Shoya, CEO of the Japanese club REJECT, TAKASHIMA RYO, chairman of FENNEL, as well as representatives from clubs such as SCARZ and ZETA DIVISION, and several esports ecological companies such as Dentsu, GLOE, ENOVATION, and e Stadium.

In addition to Tencent E-sports, the Chinese representatives included Tang Jiajun, deputy secretary-general of the China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association, secretary-general of the Game Working Committee, and chairman of the E-sports Working Committee, Zhang Xiaoming, deputy secretary-general of the eSports Working Committee, responsible persons from relevant Tencent events, BLG eSports club representatives, and many Chinese esports ecological partners.

Tang Jiajun, deputy secretary-general of the China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association, secretary-general of the Game Working Committee, and chairman of the E-sports Working Committee, delivered an opening speech for the sub-forum. Tang Jiajun stated: "We are willing to bring the valuable experience of the Hangzhou Asian Games to Nagoya to activate the complementarity and cooperation opportunities between our industries. Only by continuously promoting close cooperation with friendly neighbors can we jointly enhance the influence of the entire East Asian region in the global esports industry and contribute more Asian strength to the development of global esports."

Junichi Matsumoto, the director of international affairs ofJeSU, earnestly hoped in his opening remarks that the Nagoya Asian Games would serve as an opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Japanese e-sports. He emphasized, “In the evolution of the global e-sports landscape, international collaboration is imperative, and interactions with China are of paramount importance.”

At the meeting, Zhang Xiaolei, director of IEG Global's Japanese regional distribution, made a thematic sharing on the Japanese esports development plan of "Honor of Kings". Gu Sijia, director of Tencent Interactive Entertainment's esports business department and head of the business and event centers, focused on sharing Tencent E-sports' business and ecosystem at the forum.He concluded with the "Empower Esports Worldwide Series," expressing expectations for extensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation with the Japanese esports market in the future.

During the exchange period when the sub-forum was held in Japan, Tencent E-sports also led teams of Honor of Kings, Game for Peace and other tournaments and eco-partners to visit e-sports halls, Japanese e-sports education schools and other ecologies in Tokyo, and also traveled to Nagoya for deeper exchanges with Asian Games organizations and visited various related venues. Tencent E-sports has always been committed to promoting the development of the esports industry. This time, through such exchanges and sharing, it hopes to share Tencent's advanced experience from the Asian Games with Japan, fostering mutual progress in the esports field between China and Japan.
