Folks often vacation to Gulf Shores for a few reasons: relaxation, beautiful beaches, and, of course, incredible food. The good news is that our coastal paradise is home to not one, not two, but dozens of fantastic restaurants and bars that offer all of those things—and then some! Whether it be lively atmospheres, family-friendly eateries, or a calm cocktail lounge, there’s no shortage of places to indulge in delicious meals while soaking in our breathtaking Gulf views. So, here are just a few of our favorite beachfront bites that will keep your stomach full and your photo library stocked.
Zeke’s RestaurantLocated within Zeke’s Landing Marina, Zeke’s Restaurant is one of the latest and most lively waterfront dining options along the Gulf Coast. While you could arrive by car, we’d argue that docking a boat makes for a more fitting (and exciting) experience. Kick back and relax in their patio chairs, or stay for the evening under the warm glow of string lights on the deck. The menu is full of creative coastal dishes featuring oysters, crustaceans, and po-boys. And fishermen, listen up—bring in your catch of the day, and they’ll cook it up for you right on the spot, making for a personalized and memorable meal.
Perch at Gulf State ParkWhen it comes to the ultimate elevated coastal dining experience, there are few places that do it as well as Perch at Gulf State Park. Find yourself dining above the dunes, right next to miles of sugar-white sand, as you enjoy some of the best handcrafted cocktails, steaks, and seafood that the Gulf Coast has to offer. It’s the perfect place for special occasions like anniversaries, date nights, or the perfect evening to round out a relaxing vacation. Just be sure and stay for sunset, as the Perch patio, with its firepits and lounge areas, has one of the most breathtaking views you’ll be able to find in Gulf Shores.
CoastAL Orange BeachIf you find yourself walking along the coast of Orange Beach, you may stumble upon CoastAL, with its vast dining area and walk-up access right off the beach. Complete with an outdoor bar and open-air green space, its laid-back atmosphere is a great place to take a load off while you listen to their daily line-up of live music. Their menu has a little of everything, consisting of your classic Gulf grub like crab claws, shrimp tacos, and seafood baskets. With a boardwalk, a gift shop, and plenty of other things to do, CoastAL makes for a great destination not only to eat but also to hang out!
GTs On The BayOkay, fine. A bay isn’t technically a beachfront, but that’s not to say that GTs On The Bay isn’t a fantastic place to unwind and dine. Along the scenic shores of Wolf Bay, GTs is a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Orange Beach. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (including a Sunday brunch), they have all sorts of options, from cajun empanadas to stone hearth pizza. The family-friendly environment makes it a great stop for all, featuring a pirate-themed playset for the little ones and a full bar for adults. It’s a fantastic setting for a family outing with a diverse menu and one-of-a-kind bay views.
With a cool breeze, good company, and delicious food, you really can’t go wrong with any restaurant along the Gulf Coast.
