ASHBURN, Va. - July 27, 2023 - PRLog -- The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to name Siemens as one of its newest Affinity Partners. As part of the agreement, Siemens will make its Charge Forward: school bus fleet electrification program available to ASBO members.
Through its turnkey program, Siemens helps schools identify and understand appropriate cost-effective charging infrastructure options for their electric vehicle (EV) bus fleets, helps to navigate available funding resources for schools' EV bus fleets, helps to reduce schools' carbon footprint, coordinates with local utility companies, and assists with efforts to acquire fleet conversion financing.
"Siemens is an industry leader in delivering vital infrastructure for schools, including EV charging infrastructure for school bus fleets," says Sabrina Soto, ASBO's chief business and leadership officer. "This partnership will help our members and their school districts on their electrification journey to provide a safe, healthy mode of transportation for its students, as well as to become more efficient and sustainable."
Siemens' smart infrastructure offerings for the education market reach far beyond just EV school bus fleet charging infrastructure. The technology company also provides smart building technologies and services for education including HVAC, building management systems, indoor air quality, fire, security, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
"We are excited to work with ASBO International to help schools and districts become smarter and more sustainable, for this generation and beyond," says Fred James, head of education vertical markets at Siemens Smart Infrastructure USA. "For decades, Siemens has worked with school districts to help create the best learning environments for students and their teachers by improving comfort, optimizing energy efficiency, health, and safety, and lowering the overall cost of operations."
