Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 8, 2019, Texas Pacific Land Trust (the “Trust”) issued a press release announcing that the Trust has filed its definitive proxy statement for the election of General Donald G. Cook, USAF (Retired), as a trustee at the Trust’s upcoming special meeting of holders of sub-share certificates (the “Special Meeting”). The press release also announces that the Trust has launched a website at www.TrustTPL.com in connection with its solicitation of proxies for the Special Meeting.
The press release and definitive proxy statement are attached hereto as Exhibits 99.1 and 99.2, respectively, and are incorporated by reference herein.
