Sky Broadband Reaches New Heights in Customer Satisfaction with Service Enhancements

Sky Broadband continues to lead the way in customer satisfaction and service reliability across the UK. According to a 2024 report from Ofcom, Sky ranks highest among UK broadband providers in customer satisfaction, achieving a rate of 89%, a 5% increase compared to the previous year.

Sky’s dedication to improving customer experience, paired with substantial investments in network infrastructure, has been a key factor in its success. Sky’s Superfast and Ultrafast Fibre services have driven significant growth in its market share, now standing at 24% of the UK broadband market, according to Ofcom’s 2024 Communications Market Report. The company’s Superfast broadband service delivers speeds of up to 145Mbps, while Ultrafast broadband offers speeds as high as 500Mbps.

These offerings are particularly appealing to customers who need fast and reliable internet for activities such as streaming, gaming, and remote work, which have seen a surge in demand post-pandemic.

Sky’s efforts to boost customer satisfaction extend beyond faster internet speeds. In early 2024, the company launched its new 24/7 customer support service, enabling customers to access help around the clock. This initiative has resulted in a 15% reduction in customer complaints year-on-year, with the majority of issues being resolved within 24 hours.

According to Ofcom’s 2024 customer satisfaction survey, Sky now leads the industry in technical support and issue resolution.

Another area where Sky has made significant strides is in the expansion of its full-fibre network. Sky has invested £350 million into expanding its Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, which now reaches over 5 million homes across the UK. Sky’s goal is to increase this coverage to 10 million homes by 2026, aligning with the UK government’s Project Gigabit initiative. As more customers demand higher speeds and more reliable connections, Sky’s network expansion is essential to maintaining its leading position in the UK broadband market.
