On March 29, 2004, Circuit City Stores, Inc. issued a press release announcing
its adoption of the fair value recognition provisions for stock-based
compensation in accordance with Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No.
123, Accounting for Stock-Based Compensation, as amended by SFAS No. 148,
Accounting for Stock-Based Compensation - Transition and Disclosure.
