On April 28, 2011, Quidel Corporation issued a press release announcing the financial results
for its first quarter ended March 31, 2011 and will hold an earnings conference call at 2:00 p.m.,
Pacific Time, on April 28, 2011 to discuss such results. A copy of the press release is attached
as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K.
