THE 2004 ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS OF CENTERPOINT ENERGY, INC. IS SCHEDULED FOR 9:00 A.M. CENTRAL TIME ON THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 2004 IN THE AUDITORIUM OF 1111 LOUISIANA STREET, HOUSTON, TEXAS.
