"Moment by Moment I Pray" began in the wake of profound loss. On January 5, 2015, Warren S. Banks laid his wife to rest in Griffin, Georgia, after a funeral at Ben Hill United Methodist Church. Three days later, consumed by grief, Banks destroyed his original 26,000-page manuscript, feeling an overwhelming sense of purposelessness. However, a spiritual awakening soon followed, leading him to find solace and direction through prayer.
In February 2016, Banks resumed writing, driven by a renewed sense of purpose. By September 2018, he had penned approximately 3,000 pages, guided by what he describes as a divine calling to share his story in the form of a continuous prayer. His unwavering faith led him to Author's Tranquility Press, where his manuscript found a home and eventually blossomed into the book it is today.
The book not only details Banks' personal experiences and reflections but also serves as a beacon of hope for those navigating their own journeys of loss and healing. Warren S. Banks is a retired sergeant and Vietnam veteran who holds a degree in sociology and psychology from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University). Banks' journey of resilience and faith began in his hometown of Griffin, Georgia, and has carried him through many of life's challenges, including his service in Vietnam and the loss of his wife. His dedication to his family, his faith, and his community is evident in every aspect of his life and writing. "Moment by Moment I Pray" is his testament to the enduring power of prayer and the unwavering strength of the human spirit.
There are four volumes to his book entitled Moment by Moment I Pray Volume I, Volume 2, Volume 3 and Volume 4. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson College of Law and Georgia State University School of Education and the School of Management.
