September 5, 2025 - Emmanuel Onofaro, founder of the financial education project Obiettivo Riscatto Milionario, has announced the expansion of his free mentorship program dedicated to factory workers, retirees, and low-income earners, after reaching more than 1,800 participants in the first 18 months.
The initiative, born from Onofaro’s personal experience as a factory worker, aims to democratize access to financial education through a practical and accessible approach, removing the technical jargon that often distances working-class people from investing.
From the lathe to mentoring: a story of resilience
Onofaro left the factory after what he calls “the turning point”: seeing older colleagues resigned to a life of routine without prospects. “That wasn’t the future I wanted for myself,” he recalls from the office he set up above the bar where he had once worked as a waiter.
His transition was not immediate. After several failed attempts and bad investments that cost him his first savings, Onofaro developed a systematic method for managing capital, which he now shares for free through evening webinars and a large community.
A different approach to financial education
“Most finance courses are designed for those who already have significant capital,” explains Onofaro. “I speak the language of those who wake up at 5 a.m. to clock in at work.”
The program includes:

- One-on-one mentorship for more complex cases
- A support group with over 1,800 active members

Tangible results and social impact
According to platform data, 73% of participants reported improving their financial situation within the first 90 days, with particularly strong results among retirees earning less than €1,000 per month.

The “Give First” model
Onofaro sustains his project through what he calls the “Give First model”: offering free education while supporting himself through private consulting. “I don’t want to become just another guru selling €2,000 courses,” he says firmly. “My mission is to prove that financial freedom is not reserved for those born privileged. If I did it, starting from zero and without a degree, anyone can.”

The role of martial arts in financial discipline
A practitioner of MMA and kickboxing, Onofaro credits much of his success to the discipline learned in the ring. “Martial arts taught me that every defeat is a lesson. The same is true for investing: what matters is getting back up and learning.”
His most meaningful tattoo represents his motto: “Lupus non timet cane latratem” (“The wolf does not fear the barking dog”), symbolizing his determination to pursue his goals despite criticism.
