Minnesota Wire CEO Paul Wagner Lands Prestigious Distinguished Career Award

The award signals a perfect end to a productive year for the industry leader who first joined the company in 1985!

November 30, 2020 / /

Minnesota Wire celebrates CEO Paul Wagner's recent win of the 2020 Distinguished Career Award from the Wire & Cable Manufacturers' Alliance.

A Landmark Achievement For Company & Wagner Alike

This accomplishment marks a high point in Wagner's impressive career, helping to showcase his ongoing accomplishments within the sector over the years, and a consistent dedication which shines through his work.

The Wire & Cable Manufacturers' Alliance (known as WCMA) celebrates its nominees at a special awards dinner and investiture ceremony. Marking its 36th year, proceedings take place on December 3, 2020 in Hartford, Connecticut at the Hartford Convention Center.

Wagner proudly joins other luminaries from the industry receiving an award. At the helm of a company with 150 employees, an expected revenue of $20m this year and a fast-paced environment, Paul thinks on his feet and grabs new opportunities which benefit the business and its customers, proving himself as a dynamic and trusted figure.

Continuing a lengthy tradition of recognizing and honoring industry leaders within the electronic cable, fiber optic and electronic wire industry, the Wire & Cable Manufacturers' Alliance is one of the most prestigious award of its kind. As of 2020, the WCMA added a philanthropic edge to its proceedings, by making charitable donations in the name of every award recipient.

This is a fantastic way for the organization to honor great work while also making a difference to important causes. Each year, after careful consideration of everything from the character of an individual to their credibility and contributions to the cable industry, the WCMA Board chooses from eligible recipients.

"I'm pleased to have won the Distinguished Career Award, and to be in such great company as my fellow nominees," says Paul. "It's an honor to be recognized and I hope I can continue to represent the industry with integrity for many years to come."

In addition, Minnesota Wire was shortlisted for recognition in The Minnesota Family Business Awards this year, proving this is a company which continues to rise in prominence.
