DESE adds online learning leader to vendor list for grant-funded high-impact tutoring
Stride Tutoring is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a qualified, approved vendor for the Arkansas High-Impact Tutoring Grant Program. This program, launched by the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), aims to enhance academic outcomes for students across the state through high-impact tutoring.
"We are excited for the opportunity to meet the diverse needs of Arkansas students," said Jennifer Moore, General Manager at Stride Tutoring. “Stride Tutoring is dedicated to empowering students and helping them achieve their full potential, especially during these challenging times. We look forward to collaborating with Arkansas schools and districts to deliver impactful tutoring experiences that drive academic success."
With the recent passage of the LEARNS Act, Arkansas is reinforcing its commitment to supporting students' educational success. The Arkansas High-Impact Tutoring Grant Program will provide additional instructional support to students by leveraging the expertise of Stride Tutoring. As a portfolio brand of Stride, Inc. (NYSE: LRN), Stride Tutoring offers comprehensive online tutoring services to both school districts and individual learners.
Stride Tutoring connects students with highly qualified tutors—all of whom hold active teaching certifications—to provide individualized support in various subjects, including math, science, and English. By tailoring lesson plans to each student's unique learning needs, strengths, and interests, Stride's personalized tutoring helps learners maintain their academic pace, catch up, or even excel beyond expectations.
One of the key advantages of Stride Tutoring is its evidence-based approach. Schools and districts can have confidence in the effectiveness of Stride Tutoring's offerings, which are grounded in research and proven to yield positive results. In 2023, a third-party evaluation validated that Stride Tutoring meets the standards of evidence in Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) aligning with Level IV (“Demonstrates a Rationale”).
By partnering with Stride Tutoring, Arkansas districts can provide their students with the highest quality tutoring support available. The program offers a range of solutions for high-dosage tutoring, including the flexibility to schedule small-group sessions during the school day. Additionally, Stride Tutoring provides detailed student- and school-level reports, empowering educators with valuable insights into their students' progress.
