Enrollment is now open for K-12 students looking for a personalized approach to learning
Enrollment is now open at Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a full-time online public school with Ohio-certified teachers powered by Stride K12. The open enrollment period — available to students anywhere in the state — is from March 22-October 31.
“OHVA offers a personalized approach to education that helps students discover a career path suited to their interests,” said Kristin Stewart, head of school at OHVA. “We are committed to providing students across Ohio with career-focused learning opportunities to set them up for success after school.”
OHVA draws on decades of experience in online education, offering personalized and high-quality instruction that meets state standards. The school also offers in-person events and frequent touchpoints to help students stay connected in a digital learning environment.
OHVA is keenly focused on preparing students across Ohio for life after school. Among other offerings, OHVA students can take courses in business, education, engineering, health sciences, information technology and natural resources.
Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, OHVA will also offer full-day kindergarten. In addition to the existing core classes of English language arts, phonics and math, students will also begin studying social studies and science. The full-day kindergarten program will involve five hours of online lessons, live sessions, virtual resources and social activities each day.
“As we look to implement full-day kindergarten in the upcoming school year, we are prioritizing multi-sensory teaching and social-emotional learning,” said Debbie Wotring, OHVA’s K-2 principal. “This program will help students lay a strong foundation for their educational journey, setting them up for success as they grow.”
