(b) On June 29, 2006, Mr. J. Christopher Reyes notified Fortune Brands, Inc. that, due to time commitments to his other business, civic and charitable endeavors, he is resigning as a member of the Board of Directors of Fortune Brands, Inc., effective on the close of business on June 30, 2006.
