Traffic grew by 10.0 percent year over year, while capacity increased by 3.0 percent. International traffic increased 15.7 percent relative to last year on 10.0 percent more capacity. Domestic traffic increased 7.4 percent year over year despite a slight capacity reduction. American boarded 8.4 million passengers in May.
