Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 12, 2019, Peoples Bancorp Inc. (“Peoples”) announced that it completed its acquisition of First Prestonsburg Banchares Inc. ("FPB") as of the close of business on April 12, 2019. Peoples and FPB first announced that they had entered into an agreement to merge in October 2018.
A copy of the press release announcing the event is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
