Elbit Systems to Supply the Republic of Korea Airborne EW Suites and MWS Valued at Approximately $29 Million
Haifa, Israel, January 11, 2011 - Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT) announced today that its subsidiary, Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. (“Elisra”), was awarded a contract valued at approximately $29 million to supply the Korean Government with Airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) Suites and Missile Warning Systems (MWS) for its ROKAF CN-235 Transporters. The advanced and integrative EW suites include protection systems against various threats.
Elisra’s CEO, Itzhak Gat, said: “The selection of Elisra’s systems by the Republic of Korea, time and again within the last two years, attests to the high level of customer satisfaction and confidence in the company’s products and capabilities.” Gat added: “These programs are further indication of Elisra’s success in Korea and of the recognition of our technological leadership in the EW field”.
70% of Elisra’s shares are held by Elbit Systems and 30% of its shares by Elta, a subsidiary of IAI.
