DJ Horne, a first-time children's book author, has always had a deep love for sports, having played soccer, baseball, football, and basketball. As he grew older, his passion for basketball became evident, leading him to play the sport throughout middle school, high school, and college.

Born and raised in North Carolina, DJ Horne spread his college basketball career across Illinois State University, Arizona State University, and North Carolina State University.
