A majority of the US population may be labouring under incorrect assumptions that prevent them from legally claiming Medicaid, revealed Estate Planning and Elder Law attorney Michael T. Huguelet.

The Orland Park, IL attorney, exposed a number of myths regarding how people qualify for the long-term care benefits of Medicaid. Common misconceptions include having too many assets that then disqualify a person from Medicaid benefits; and, applicants who are denied are not eligible to reapply.
