Event Center Hosts Field Day Featuring Fire vs. Police Showdown to Support the American Heart Association

Fresh off the exciting news of being named one of the Top 3 Volleyball Facilities in the U.S. by SportsEvents Magazine, the Rocky Mount Event Center is taking its winning momentum to the community field! On Friday, August 22, the award-winning venue will host an all-out Field Day Showdown like no other, featuring the Rocky Mount Fire Department vs. the Rocky Mount Police Department in a spirited competition of basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and dodgeball — all to raise funds for the American Heart Association.

After an incredible tournament season that saw over 25 major sporting events and welcomed thousands of athletes and fans, the Event Center is proud to give back to the community in a fun, family-friendly way that supports a cause close to many hearts.

Admission is just $2.00 at the door, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association, which leads the charge in heart disease and stroke research, education, and advocacy across the country.

With that said, I can firmly say that the Rocky Mount Fire Department to participation in the American Heart Walk’s Fundraiser Field Day!” said Michael Roupp, Assistant Chief of Administrative and Planning for the Rocky Mount Fire Department. “We look forward to engaging with our neighbors, fellow city departments, and internal fire department teams at the magnificent Rocky Mount Event Center on August 22.
