YORK WATER COMPANY ANNOUNCES DIVIDEND


York, Pennsylvania, November 20, 2006: The York Water Company's (NASDAQ:YORW) President and CEO, Jeffrey S. Osman, announced today that the Board of Directors at their November 20th meeting increased the quarterly dividend from $0.112 per share to $0.118, a 5.4% increase per share.

This is the 544th consecutive dividend paid by The York Water Company and is the tenth consecutive year that the Company has increased its dividend. The dividend is payable January 16, 2007 to shareholders as of record date January 2, 2007.
