Results of Operations and Financial Condition
On February 4, 2008, the Company reported a net loss of $27.6 million, or $.55 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2007, as compared to net earnings of $7.3 million, or $.14 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2006. Net sales for the fourth quarter increased to $304.5 million from $300.5 million in 2006.
The Company also reported a net loss of $1.8 million, or $.04 per diluted share, for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2007, as compared to net earnings of $17.6 million, or $.34 per diluted share, for the 2006 fiscal year. Net sales for 2007 were $1,240.4 million compared to $1,188.2 million in 2006.
