Item 8.01. Other Events.
On September 1, 2006, AmerisourceBergen Corporation (the “Registrant”) issued a news release announcing that its wholly owned subsidiary, AmerisourceBergen Canada Corporation, completed the acquisition of Rep-Pharm Inc., a pharmaceutical distributor based in Ontario, Canada. A copy of the news release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated herein by reference.
