Council brings together thought leadership from top multifamily REITs to provide feedback on the Company’s strategic product roadmap
SmartRent, Inc. (NYSE: SMRT) (“SmartRent” or the “Company”), a leading provider of smart communities and operations solutions for the rental housing industry, today announced the launch of its Product Advisory Council, a group of senior executives from some of the industry’s largest and most innovative ownership and management organizations.
Created to further strengthen SmartRent’s collaboration with customers, the council brings together influential voices who actively inform the company’s technology roadmap. It serves as a strategic forum to preview ideas, exchange insights on emerging technologies and gather direct input on product features, functionality and roadmap priorities. Through these discussions, SmartRent can validate concepts, gather insights and identify opportunities to resolve pain points, transform operations and elevate the resident experience. Council members will also gain early access to beta testing opportunities and provide ongoing feedback that helps refine and shape future innovations.
“The opportunity to harness new technologies and solutions to drive increasing value for property owners, operators, their teams and residents has never been greater,” said Frank Martell, SmartRent President and CEO. “With an installed base of more than 870,000 rental units across the nation, SmartRent is uniquely positioned to accelerate change as we continue to expand our platform. The Product Advisory Council will be an important forum for sharpening our focus, alleviating current multifamily pain points and, importantly, broadening the use of smart technology across the industry.”
Participants include executives from leading multifamily organizations:
- AvalonBay Communities
- BH Management Services
- Equity Residential
- Essex Property Trust
- Gables Residential
- Morgan Properties
- RXR
- UDR
- Willow Bridge Property Company
“The Product Advisory Council gives me a chance to collaborate with SmartRent and other industry leaders in a candid, solutions-focused way,” said council member Rick Holcomb, Capital and Facilities Management at Willow Bridge Property Company. “It’s rewarding to share feedback, learn from peers and help influence the direction of technology that impacts our operations.”
The Product Advisory Council reflects SmartRent’s collaboration with a customer base that spans many of the nation’s largest multifamily owners and operators. Across its broader portfolio, SmartRent’s customers collectively own or control nearly seven million of the approximately 44 million institutionally managed rental housing units in the United States.
