Attached is the
English translation of the summary of the letter dated May 2, 2019,
filed by the Company with the Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires
and the Comisión Nacional de
Valores.
By
letter dated May 2, 2019, IRSA Inversiones y Representaciones
Sociedad Anónima ("IRSA" or the "Company"),
informs that its
associate Metropolitan 885 Third Avenue Leasehold LLC
(“Metropolitan”) decided to not exercise the option to
purchase a part of the parcel of land where the Lipstick Building
was built in New York City. The period available for IRSA to
exercise such purchase option expired on April 30, 2019.
Metropolitan's decision to not exercise
this option does not constitute an event of default under any
agreement or other undertaking to which Metropolitan or any of its
affiliates is a party.
This
communication supercedes any other prior communication issued or
published by IRSA in respect of the purchase option with
Metropolitan discussed above.
