On November 26, 2007, Genesco Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release reporting that it
had received a subpoena from the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York
for documents relating to the Company’s negotiations and merger agreement with The Finish Line,
Inc. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
