Glatfelter Company (the "Company") issued a press release to report that it was informed by the European Commission that its previously announced acquisition of the Lydney mill of J R Crompton Ltd.'s ("Crompton"), would enter a Phase II investigation. The press release issued by the Company is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
