Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
Robert H. Tuttle has submitted his resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of City National Corporation and City National Bank (collectively, the Company) upon his confirmation and swearing in on July 14, 2005 as the new Ambassador of the United States to the Court of St. James. Mr. Tuttle has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 2002.
