On October 2, 2008, Globalstar, Inc. issued a press release to announce the dismissal with prejudice by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York of a consolidated securities class action lawsuit against the Company and certain of its officers, stemming from the Company’s initial public offering.  The press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
